Steve Schleicher, the founder and owner of Nimbus Kayaks in Maple Ridge, BC. is known for his high quality fibreglass and Kevlar kayaks. He currently makes 18 different designs including small day boats, touring kayaks and double kayaks.

He rides a bike to and from work all year round and is fond of recumbent bicycles. This has led him on a quest to create a quality built, viable velomobile.
